Ground Under Repair: – (Contractors’/Greenkeepers’ Workings)
- Any damage that has been caused to the course by the irrigation contractors during the installation of the irrigation infrastructure and the reinstatement work now being undertaken shall be treated as Ground Under Repair.
- Such as – Vehicular tread-marks, trench levelling (including non-reinstated surfaces), holes, turf sods, machine damaged areas, loose or heaped soil, seams of new turf, or other areas adjacent to the repair works and any other areas that have not been completely reinstated and any other debris left adjacent to areas where work has been undertaken,etc.
- Free Relief may be taken in accordance with Rule 16.1a
- Reference point: The nearest point of complete relief in the general area.
Size of Relief Area Measured from Reference Point:
- One club length, but with these limits;
- Must be in the general area,
- Must not be nearer the hole than the reference point and there must be complete relief from all interference from the area of Ground Under Repair.
